Cleaning for Health

Cleaning for health and cleaning for appearance are two drastically different things, yet not many people know or act on the difference. While the COVID-19 pandemic flipped the world on its head, one positive thing it did was bring to light the importance of cleaning for health. COVID has proven over and over again that just because something or someone looks clean, it doesn’t mean they actually are. At EcoSource, LLC, we are committed to making cleaning for health the normal practice. Our goal is to accomplish a great clean while also being kind to the environment, and you can achieve that goal as well. Take a look at some of our tips to clean for health:

Avoid Cross-Contamination

While this may seem like a no-brainer, you’d be surprised how many people inadvertently cross-contaminate while cleaning every day. Simply using the same mop in two different rooms is a huge error in cross-contamination. While it takes more effort and diligence to put this into practice, it makes a massive difference.

Organize Your Cleaning Tools

Another way to significantly reduce cross-contamination and help in your effort to clean for health is to organize all of your cleaning tools and products. Whether this means color-coding your brooms or keeping different products in different rooms or whatever works best for your team, this can drastically improve your cleaning effectiveness.

Always Check Labels

In an effort to clean for health and be environmentally friendly, make sure to always check labels. It is important that while cleaning, you avoid spreading harsh or dangerous chemicals to employees and clients. There are many cleaning products available that cater to green cleaning as well as cleaning for health.

Train Your Staff Regularly

Training your staff on how to clean for health is not a one and done deal. With requirements and rules ever-changing, your training must change too – especially in this COVID-19 climate world. While there is no set rule on how often to train or how long to train, you might want to consider updating cleaning practices based on the product you use, the season, and any other outside factors.
